ABOUT THE COURSE
“Around me the trees stir in their leaves and call out, Stay awhile”
~Mary Oliver
The grace and beauty found in nature is a rich source of inspiration for all artists. Wandering alongside this beautiful, ephemeral quality of nature will guide and ground your work, and you will find the space and desire to create work that is beautiful and meaningful.
I find that a daily walk helps to organize my thoughts and boost my creativity. I take a small sketchbook and a few simple supplies along on my walks to capture an idea, sketch, or press a flower between the pages.
During this course, I would like to encourage you to take a daily walk, gather inspiration, collect your ideas and allow yourself the time to think. Give yourself time to experiment with color, sketch, and weave together your ideas. Allow your thoughts to meander across the canvas and throughout the lessons in this course. I know you will create art that is filled with beauty and is unique to you.
